Karen understands what locals are looking for and as it turns out, those just passing through appreciate the exact same thing: hearty and generous "from scratch" meals at fair prices, prepared and served by people who make you feel like one of the family.
Marlene & Glen's Diner sits at the gateway of the Amador County wine country, the Shenandoah Valley. Owner's Karen and Mike Martin have been serving mouth watering, homemade breakfast and lunch creations since 1999. Their roots in the Shenandoah valley reach back five generations. Karen purchased the diner and in her words, "wanted to set out to create my own slice of apple pie."
Homemade comfort food is what we do at Marlene & Glen's. The Breakfast and Lunch menu is as long as your arm and is complimented by a Full Bar. Our truck-driver sized portions are created from the freshest ingredients available. Our kitchen is stocked with fresh fruits and vegetables, meats, cheeses, breads, homemade pies and other provisions that will satisfy your cravings and give you something to talk about. We're Marlene and Glen's Diner, where the menu is merely a formality.
