"We couldn't be more pleased with the level of service Amy provided us with both our home selling and home buying. She was the calm, collected and reassuring presence we needed. As stated by many, selling and buying a new home is one of the most stressful processes you can go through. She helped guide us through all of it and was a huge ally and voice for us. Amy was very committed to us during the time we worked with her. She was always available to answer our questions and worked hard to sell our home. And in the purchasing of our new home, she was a shrewd and diplomatic negotiator. Truly, Amy is a consummate professional and we are very happy with the work she did on our behalf." P. Pastore
"I have no doubt that without Amy's help we would not be in our new home today. We were coming in from out of the area and needed to rely on our agent to handle most of the local tasks. As in any transaction obstacles came up, and Amy met and resolved those obstacles for us." Lynch Law
"We looked for a home for several months. We were brand new to the area and Amy provided tons of information that we needed to know. She was very patient and very helpful. She found us the perfect house. Call her." Rick Watson

I earned my real estate license in 2003. Prior to that I was an outside sales representative, selling beautiful things to Interior Designers. High end fabrics, wall coverings, area rugs etc. I was traveling all over Northern California and Northern Nevada. I tired of the traveling and being away from home and husband, so decided on a different sales career, Real Estate. I started my real estate career at a small start up firm in Roseville. There, I got a great deal of one on one training directly from my broker. This gave me a great jump start. In 2006 I came to work in my own community, Auburn. In 2011 I studied and passed the brokers exam. I enjoyed being Assistant Manager at Select Estate Properties for several years, along with Therese Beechler. In 2017 we took the next step and opened our own brokerage, J. Ellen Realty. The name is a combination in honor of our Grand Mothers and my Mother. (you can see the full story on my Facebook Page, Amy Summers of J. Ellen Realty.
I love all that this great community has to offer: Great location, weather, schools and people. It is a delight to do real estate in a community with very few "cookie cutter" homes. This is where virtual tours really shine! It is always exciting to weave through the challenges of rural home sales.
In 1998 I married my best friend, Jeff Summers. We love being together doing the things that we both love. We are avid fly fishers. This takes us to some beautiful places where I enjoy the surroundings as much as the fishing. (But Jeff will always enjoy the fishing more!). We golf together, ride bikes, and work out. We are both serious students of the Bible and volunteer several hours each month in promoting bible education. We have two grown children and two grand children. I have chickens that free roam and give us fresh eggs. Our yellow lab "Daisy" brings us endless giggles.
I am proud to have earned the Masters Club designation for 3 years. This is awarded to the top 10-20% of real estate agents in Placer County.
I have been chosen as a Sacramento Magazine 5-Star award winner for the last 5 years. Less than 4% of area agents are chosen for this award.
I am also a certified negotiations expert.
Now that you know me a little better, please feel free to call me if you have any real estate related questions.
